Old Cells and Police Station and Ghost Hunt -

The Edwardian Police Station next to the Shire Hall in Nottingham is a building frozen in time and although the guards have all left, the ghosts of its many notorious inhabitants certainly have not. The Police Station and Cells sit next to the infamous Galleries of Justice where people have been imprisoned and executed for hundreds of years and directly upon the site of the old Castle Inn, a Medieval Hostelry from the 1600s. Built in 1847 and in use for over 140 years, the Police Station houses the original cells, along with the shower block, interview rooms and exercise yard and has held many infamous prisoners during its long history, including some of those detained during the 1984 Miners Strikes. Haunted Happenings have exclusive access to this frightening location and will carry out an intimate investigation to discover for ourselves the many ghosts and spirits that still inhabit this dark and miserable place. Doors have been known to slam shut during vigils, people have witnessed ghostly figures looking back at them through the interview room glass and you may even encounter the heavy footsteps of the guard who reportedly still walks the pitch black corridors. We also have exclusive access to the Youth Court from which terrified young offenders would be taken down to the cells and there is a real sense of anger and distress which still lingers in the air. This will be a very special event with strictly limited numbers during which you will carry out Vigils & Seances in this very haunted and location. Using Ouija Boards, Glass Divination & Table Tipping experiments along with ghost hunting equipment, you will be the investigator as we make contact with those who were once incarcerated within its walls.
